March's Menu
Welcome to this month’s Menu (f.k.a the monthly Consumer Digest), a list of everything I consumed this month that has had a lasting impression.
I can’t believe we’re already in April, but trust I am not complaining!
Let’s Digest!
For the past two years, I’ve been on a mission to find the perfect robe—one that’s both functional and chic. But my non-negotiables made this search surprisingly difficult. I needed something I could wear while styling my wet hair, meaning no long, heavy sleeves or excessive fabric.
Since my hip surgery, my usual "arms, abs, and ass" New York Pilates class has been swapped for physical therapy and my weekly wash day routine—which, let’s be honest, is an arm workout in itself. The last thing I need is a robe that feels like a weighted blanket after a sauna-hot shower. Enter the Weezie Rode Towel Robe: the answer to my very specific robe desires.
This robe is exactly what I envisioned—lightweight, absorbent, and designed with just the right balance of practicality and polish. And to top it all off, Weezie offers the ultimate Chic, Conscious Consumer kryptonite: personalization!
Okay! So the Cyklar body wash was so good it made it onto January’s Menu—and almost February’s, too. This brand has been killing it with their launches this year. I know some people are skeptical because of the ads, TikTok Shop links, and endless affiliate posts (much like another fave of mine, Prequel), but let me tell you: this one is actually worth the hype.
This body oil has been an absolute godsend, especially on my lazy in-shower body oil days. The scent lingers for hours, the glow lasts all day, and the hydration is next-level. It’s easily one of the best—if not the best—body oils I’ve tried. If you’ve been on the fence, consider this your sign.
Chanel Velvet Flats: The Perfect Post-Surgery Staple
As I’ve mentioned in nearly every Consumer Digest of 2025, I recently had hip surgery—which, unfortunately, means no heels for me. While my shoe collection is abundant, my flats are mostly sneakers (yes, I am a recovering sneaker head). But now that I’m finally off crutches and back to the office, sneakers just don’t cut it for dinners, events, and polished looks.
I got these velvet Chanel flats during the holidays as “pre-opp care” and they’ve been my go to for almost every look! I also love them with sweatpants, preferably stolen ones from my boyfriends closet! They just work with everything. They also have a detachable white bow, which is in perfect symbiosis with my tie and bow-tie fixation. The detachable white bow is the perfect finishing touch—perfectly aligned with my current tie and bow-tie fixation. Functional, chic, and just the right amount of French-girl effortless—these flats might just be my best purchase of the year.Another great option are the Dear Frances flats, they are the most versatile and comfortable shoe, a great summer replacement for these velvet ones.
Okay!! So I’ve been diving into Make Beauty, testing everything from eyeshadows and blushes to brow gels and pencils. But the real standout? The concealer—it was the first product to make it into my lab (aka my bathroom), and let me tell you, it’s perfection.
This is the ultimate everyday concealer—flawless for both under-eyes and all-over coverage. The shade range is impressive, and the finish? Think Taylor Russell-level effortless. It’s chic, seamless, and just downright cool. The kind of concealer that makes you look polished without being intense.
I wear it as is or set it with my favorite pressed powder, and it melts into the skin like buttercream on a cake— I don’t wear makeup everyday but this concealer makes me want to. Absolute must-have.
Sumo Oranges!
It’s citrus season baby! Sumo Oranges and I go way back, my high school was around the corner from a Whole Foods and during my vegan– yes, vegan days it was a mandatory stop on the way to class. I flew through high school with a Sumo Orange in one hand and oatmeal in the other. So the thing about these is the ease, its an orange that peels easier than a tangerine and get this— they’re never sour ALWAYS sweet!
As you may know Prequel is a favorite skincare brand on Consumer Digest. They dropped a milky moisturizer a few weeks ago and it is on my face almost every day. This is half ceramides and half peptides, so it’s ultra moisturizing. Ive been using this nonstop, especially as the weather gets unpredictable and allergy season approaches – more sneezing, rubbing my nose = irritated skin , and this is the perfect solve. This is a bit different than the Rhode Glazing Milk and The Ilia Base Face Milk, the Prequel one is a bit thicker and is meant to be used as a moisturizer. It also features some antioxidants and anti aging ingredients making it a little more complex than the glazing milk — which makes sense because it’s meant to be used more like a moisturizer.
Back in January, I stumbled across a picture of Tracee Ellis Ross on Pinterest—immediately saved, screenshotted, and studied. The eyeliner? Absolute perfection.
I decided then and there that this would be my new “signature” eye look. Though it turns out a little different each time, it always feels effortlessly chic—like an extension of my personal style.
To nail the look, I’ve been using this eyeliner religiously. It dries down to a flawless matte with ultra-clean lines. But the real wow factor? It’s double-sided—one end features a classic felt tip, while the other has an ultra-thin precision tip for the sharpest flick. Simply put, it’s perfect.
Blush
Over the past few months, I’ve been zeroing in on my makeup style—figuring out my go-to products, application techniques, and undertones. Hence, the “signature eyeliner.” But when it comes to blush, the search can be trickier. There are endless finishes, shades, and formulations to navigate.
Back in October, I tried the Tower 28 blush in Party Hour, and suddenly, everything clicked. I finally nailed down my criteria for the perfect everyday blush. Since I often wear blush on bare skin, the texture and finish have to be just right—anything too harsh, and I risk looking like I have a rash rather than a glow. The answer? Purple.
A purple blush pulls baby pink on me, like a natural flush from within, making it ideal for my blush-only days. Plus, it lasts all day. I have a few other favorite purples, but this one is the perfect balance—muted yet visible, effortlessly blending whether I’m wearing a full face of makeup or nothing at all.
Favorite March Moment
This month marked the first time I could actually do things this year—and what a way to start! I was invited to a Gucci High Jewelry Showcase, and let me tell you, the showcase was showcasing!
The room was a dream—filled with made-to-order ensembles, rare gemstones, dazzling diamonds, and an abundance of feathers and fringe. Every detail felt opulent. And the food? Incredible. (Yes, I shamelessly ordered two plates.)
I had the best company too—my dear friend
of joined me, and we spent the entire night giggling and kicking our feet like schoolgirls. Now take a moment to look at this made-to-order coat!
These Rubelittes, a gem in the Tourmaline family – not Ruby!
As I mentioned earlier, I’m a wash n' go girl. While I’ve found my forever hair styler in Innersense I Create Hold Gel, I’ve still been on the hunt for a good moisturizing product. After stepping away from leave-ins and butters for a while, I circled back to try and tackle the dryness that cold weather brings to my coils.
I’ve always liked many of The Doux’s products, like the 808 Base Gel and the Mousse Deff, Mousse, but after using the Honey Dip Butter Gel, I knew I’d found a top-tier product. It's now firmly in my hair product rotation, right under I Create Hold!
Much like I Create Hold, this gel is a one-stop product. It gives me a wash n' go that can last up to 7 days with zero fuss. While it isn’t as versatile as ICH, it doesn't need to be. It’s the perfect combination of a leave-in, detangeler, and gel all in one. The result? Incredibly moisturized, defined curls with just one product, cutting my styling time to a mere 10-15 minutes. Pure magic.
