The air smells of salt air and the rust on your door, and most importantly it finally feels like what it’s like “to live for the hope of it all”. So, it’s officially August.
I LOVE MASCARA! The Westman Atelier has been my favorite for quite some time, but the Chic Conscious Consumers of the internet let me know the Victoria Beckham Beauty one was something to try. I of course had to give it a go and I love it! At the moment I would say they are about the same, and unfortunately for both of them there is an item on the tasting menu that is gunning for their spot!
2 - Street Blends Cinnamon Dolce Latte
I am a sucker for a Manhattan coffee. Last summer Cafe Paradiso was the destination, this summer it’s Nolita’s Street Blends, a self proclaimed “Caffeine Shop”. Street Blends does something that’s pretty hard to pull off, they make flavored coffee in a harmonious way. The Caribbean inspired flavors never overpower the drinks, but instead enhances them. I keep their Cinnamon Dolce Dream in hand as often as I can. I’ll be in SOHO tomorrow for a meeting and I’m already dreaming about my next caffeinated bev!
3 - Freddo Cappuccino
Speaking of coffee…. I went to Greece for the first time this month! Anybody who has been to Greece has the shared experience of pure bliss due to their first Freddo Cappuccino. I need to do a Greece Menu, because the food in Greece…The shopping in Greece… The Coffee in Greece! It is incredibly high on my favorite countries list and Freddo Cappuccino is certainly on my favorite drinks list.

I have been knee deep in the world of woven, straw, and raffia bags. I bought two in New Orleans at the beginning of the month and have worn them non stop.
A few weeks ago I found myself stuck in a parking space, waiting for the street to be reopened. After a few minutes in the car, my eyes met a bright yellow itsy bitsy bag, I mean small enough to lean more bag charm than bag. It was shaped like a lemon, and I knew it was meant for me!
If you can’t tell, my trip to Greece defined my July and is dangerously close to becoming my entire personality. Korres is a Greek brand I’d been familiar with for years. They’ve been in Sephora and even have a store on my favorite block in SoHo. Part of my newfound love for Korres comes from seeing it in its true element. There’s nothing like seeing someone or something in the place it calls home. The level of national recognition and support for Korres in Greece reminds me of Ferrari in Italy.
I grabbed a few things from Korres and The Naxos Apothecary, but my favorite by far is their Vanilla Freesia perfume, which has now become my favorite fragrance of the summer. I’ve worn it every day, and it’s especially fantastic for the heat wave we’re experiencing.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, your clothes are only as nice as you treat them. Treating my clothes nicely starts with a good hand wash and air dry, Dirty Labs has been my go to all month!

You know it’s bad when your dad tells you “you know you can wear a different shirt, right? I know this isn’t the only one you have”. I found the perfect silk button ups in Paros and every time I look at them I think “I can’t believe I didn’t get this in more colors!”

On vacation my Mykonos call time was 7am and I wouldn’t be returning until 10pm. So when doing my make up I knew I needed to got he extra mile to make sure it would last.I knew I needed setting spray that would work overtime so I layered the TirTir Make Up Fixer + Elf Power Grip.The combination survived swimming in the Aegean, multiple boat rides, hours in the Mykonos sun, and more Freddo Cappuccinos than I care to count. By 10 p.m., my makeup was still very much clocked in.
